APPRENTICE ELECTRONIC TECHNICIAN
We invite applications for a career-launching apprenticeship in our innovative Electronics department. The successful applicant will be part of a team of seven highly skilled colleagues with many years of experience in marine electronics.
He or she will be very interested in the nautical industry and in marine electronics at an advanced technical level. Our new apprentice will work with installation, tests and service of navigation equipment including radars, GPS, Gyros, digital sea charts, echo sounders, and marine VHF and UHF communication equipment. As part of the programme, our new colleague will train at Skagen Skipper Training Institute (Skagen Skipperskole) for his or her General Operators Certificate.
Scanel apprentices receive very thorough training. They are supported throughout by mentors, managers and colleagues. The rotation programme ensures that each apprentice has the chance to work in different areas on varied tasks.

You are eligible to apply if you have
- completed the introductory module of your Electronics and Low Current Trades course
- serious interest in a specialist career as a marine electronic technician
- serious interest in learning and in developing your skills
- school-level English
- Driving licence ‘B’ class
