Many of the most experienced staff at Scanel started their careers when they won a coveted place on our renowned apprenticeship programme. That proud tradition continued today when Christian Thirup Mehl completed his four-year apprenticeship in our Orskov Yard Service department - and was immediately hired as our newest fully-qualified marine electrician.

Managers, mentors and colleagues congratulated Christian at a special reception in Frederikshavn at which he was presented with both his apprenticeship graduation certificate and his employment contract.

Scanel International A/S employs up to 16 apprentices at any given time on three-year and four-year programmes.  Each electrical, electromechanical or electronic apprentice also learns specialist skills via a special rotation programme in other departments and at different Scanel sites both in Denmark and abroad.
