Scanel apprentices are the best electricians
A proud Scanel tradition was continued when electrical apprentice Rasmus Repo Kjærgaard completed his 3½-year apprenticeship and was immediately hired as our newest fully-qualified marine electrician. Rasmus was presented with his apprenticeship graduation certificate and signed his employment contract at the same ceremony at Scanel headquarters in Frederikshavn.
Among those there to congratulate him were his mentors Head of Orskov Yard Service Dennis Thordal Lavrsen and Project Manager Claus Christensen; COO Gert Balling; HR Manager Jens Ole Just Nielsen; Union Representative Henrik Møller Jacobsen; and electrician colleague Steen Christensen.
Scanel International A/S employs up to 16 apprentices at any given time on three-year and four-year programmes. Each electrical, electromechanical or electronic apprentice also learns specialist skills via a special rotation programme in other departments and at different Scanel sites both in Denmark and abroad. Many of the most experienced staff at Scanel started their careers when they were accepted into our renowned apprenticeship programme.
