Scanel awarded Royal Danish Navy agreement
Scanel International is pleased to confirm that we have been awarded a four-year framework agreement by the Royal Danish Navy. The agreement covers all electrical work on ships at the Navy bases in Korsør (‘East Denmark’) and Frederikshavn (‘West Denmark’).
“We are of course pleased from a pure business point-of-view,” said Scanel CEO Claus Søgaard Poulsen. “It’s not just about a financial contract though.”
“Scanel staff have carried out assignments for the Navy for over 10 years. We’ve been neighbours since we moved Scanel HQ to Port of Frederikshavn in 2004. And this is the Royal Danish Navy. We’re a very international company but at the same time we’re very Danish – naturally we are proud to be the supplier to this particular customer.”
Scanel was chosen by the Navy after a seven-month bidding process. The agreement covers modifications and repairs on the Navy’s ships with approximately 10 Scanel electricians expected to form the core work team. We are currently expanding our Marine team, recruiting more electricians.
